Yongary is a terrific movie! I had a ball watching Yongary last night. Between the monster drinking gasoline, dancing awkwardly, and his laser beam powers, you've got enough campy (the good kind, of course) moments to please kaiju eiga and cult movie fans in general.
To me, there's no such thing as a bad kaiju movie. Yongary obviously isn't up to Toho or Daiei standards, but it's a fun movie and should be viewed that way.

This movie to me is pretty bad, even by Kaiju Eiga standards. I know some people will disagree with me, and that's okay, but this is a poor man's Godzilla. The Monster himself is generic. Green? seen that, Horn on his nose? who doesn't? Spikes on his back? I wonder where they got that idea... Breathes fire? Lame. Fortunatley, one cool thing that saves him is that badass horn lazer, that was pretty awesome. I'm not trying to start any fight, but if you do find the movie, it's enjoyable to watch.

I don't blame Yongary for being upset. There he was just standing there giving everyone a nice friendly wave and they start shooting at him!
No wonder tourism is down in the Orient.
