Unit 3 and Venus (Renee Sloan?) - Scott Baio

CHOOSE: Watch in High Quality. Leave a comment. The Poorman from KROQ interviews family band (father, mother, daughter, uncle) for Cable TV's South Coast Live during the mid-80's. Venus was only 9 here, but I heard she grew up, changed her name to Renee, and married Scott Baio on TV this year. Ha. I don't know what happened to Patty, Henree, and Uncle Jay, so please leave a comment with info and updates. I notice the audio is a little trebly, so feel free to upload a better sounding version of this song. There were no other versions on youtube, so I put this up until another copy is uploaded. I "sweetened" it with photos of Cheapy Cheater Chachi, the man who broke little Venus' heart when he "...kicked that Teddy Bear". I have 2 or 3 other videos by U3V and the rest of their in-depth interview by The Poorman from the 1st episode of cable TV's South Coast Live circa 1984. As far as I know, Scott and Renee (Venus?) are still living in wedded bliss. And no, the part of the father (Henree) was not played by Johnny V.

At 2:19 when the camera goes to close up, look closely at her eyes and her nose...it is the spitting image of Renee Sloan (Baio). That is defineately her. :)

i've always loved unit 3... i have all the rodney on the roq compilation volumes (on vinyl)... i must have been the same age as venus in 1980 (i was born in 1970)... is venus being in the band @ that time a form of child exploitation?? i wonder...

Nice memories Venus, I used to hang with you and Patty and Henry when they had the Stinger's store on 7th (then moved across the street where Henry built a stage for bands. There were some great parties there with Conservatives, Bill and Becky, etc. WAYYYY before Sublime, etc. You guys were really sweet to everybody. Wouldn't trade those memories for nuttin'. Hope al's well.

Whoa..chills..haven't heard this since i borrowed a mix tape from a So Cal transplant when i was in high school in Oregon.. @ '83. I was already into Black Flag and TSOL.. Angry Samoans.. heavier bands, but i still liked the quirky new wave stuff coming out of LA

@mardukhail...my parents didn't pimp me, so you are incorrect. when we first started, i wanted to start a band, as i got older, i just wanted to be "normal" that is why i cried. they weren't pimping me out, we made no money. i appreciate my parents for giving me experiences that most others never got. overall, it has made me a better person and i am forever grateful for my parents for all their love and support through my 38 years of life!!
