Wow... that's all I have to say. I guess If something ain't on the top 40 billboard, it's off your radar. Newsflash... the vast majority of GOOD music isn't on the top 40. It's all crap that appeals to the lowest common denominator, i.e. YOU. It's a simple business calculation by the corporate labels to make a ton of money by marketing music devoid of any depth and soul to the masses. Open up and say AHHHH....

i like the song! Altho, the chorus could be a little more catchy. The verses are almost better. She sounds great. Hope she can ride high on the charts again.

The verses are catchier because she ripped them off from a better band.

Wash ups? The Crowes are the greatest rock band of our generation. They have had international success since way before this chick came and will be recognized long after everybody forgets Gretchen Wilson even existed. I'm not saying this wasn't a bit petty on their part, but I am saying they are obviously an influence — to who I don't know. Does she even write her material?

I LOVE Willie, Hank, Waylon, Merle, George Jones, Jerry Reed, etc. That is roots music for me. This mainstream country that is being packaged for the masses now is so glossy and poppy it barely resembles real country anymore. I like my country music gritty... not glossy.
