You liked the crowes when they were on the radio. Exactly my point. YOU ALL ARE THE TYPE OF PEOPLE THAT LISTEN TO SHIT ON THE RADIO. Get it? The Crowes had yet to write their best material. They are an incredibly consistent band that's been bringing it for a loooong time. Get off the radio, check out their stuff and you'll know.

They where the shit back in the day, and they are still the shit... The reason they asked Gretchen Wilson to do this promo is because she appeals to the lowest common denominator... hence her commercial marketability palatable to the masses. That's how radio and commercialism works. My main point is, just because something is on the radio, or used to advertise something, doesn't make that band any more talented, tasteful. The vast majority of great music ain't on the radio or TV.

I agree, I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan and the vast majority of their music never gets radio play. To my initial point, I just don't understand why everyone wants to trash Gretchen.... That's all.

she's obviously got some talent, no denying... I'm not into trashing artists. I just have to trash people that are comparing The Crowes in an unfavorable light musically compared to Gretchen, just because they are suing. I agree, that shit can be petty... I think they'd just be happy if every one knew Gretchen ripped them off. They certainly don't need the money. And Gretchen has a loong way to go in her career before she catches up with the Crowes prolific discography.
