My 86 Yota IFS is making a clunk when turned to the right (stopped). I think it's the pitman arm- or just the worn out nature of old steering components all around

  • Ended up replacing all of the ball joints and the pitman arm. One alignment and it's straight and tight. Now to replace the stabilizer to reign in the 32' BFG's

  • Looks like everything is pretty bad. Replace everything, if you didn't do so already.

  • JeeZus man,... Get all those joints replaced.

With bigg'ol tires you'll wear them faster and it could have alredy been replaced with cheap-o joints... That's what it looks like to me b/c all of them are loose.

Go with Toyota joints and the bushing in the idler are is PLASTIC! Get that replaced ASAP. It's cheap and easy.

Can't believe you let it go this long...

  • the bushing is gone...

u need a new pit man man
