@KommandoOver9000 I agree with you, I prefer my surplus guns in original configuration anyway. At least we got a deal on these Tulas, 250$ each.

glockster i have a 1944 mosin nagant the reciever was made in 1945 most vintage russian weapons are prob not original like 90 percent of m1 carbines my barrel was made by inland and reciever was made by saginaw but i wouldnt tinker with a pre 50's sks tula either thats like putting a original ak47 in a bullpup stock all my weapons are priceless to me i wouldnt sell any of em these guys still did a pretty damn good job customizing their sks i would like to have a tula i love collecting vintage

@letstalkdirty1 I would like to make this very clear. THIS IS NOT MY SKS IN THE VIDEO! I would NEVER do this to mine! This is the other guys SKS, which he doesn't care about the "collect-ability" of, and wanted to do this. The reason we took that pin out on the hand guard was to change the hand guard to the Tapco hand guard. Was it meant to be taken off? Probably not, but Did they have after market stocks for this back in the 40's and 50's? no.

I would hardly call Tula/Siminov collectable, at $269 Cdn they are bargin shooter.

@Glockster42 To me the price is not what makes them a collectible, but the fact it's from the rifles country of origin, in the same caliber and condition it was issued, with all matching serial numbers. That is what makes them collectible.
