http://EmmaSmithMormon.com has more details about the life of Emma Smith.

Emma Hale Smith (10 July 1804--30 April 1879) was the wife of Joseph Smith, Jr. until his death in 1844, and was an early leader of the Latter-day Saint movement in her own right. She was also named in 1842 as the inaugural president of the Female Relief Society of Nauvoo, an organization for the Mormon women which was later reorganized in Utah as a significant branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church) under the name Relief Society.

This Mormon movie will depict the events of her life before the martyrdom of her husband, Joseph Smith.

  • Looks like a good movie. As for the FLDS, though sometimes the confusion in the world is annoying, I don't see how we're any better when we disrespect them.

  • She was an amazing woman. As for the comments about the RLDS, remember the RLDS church was really influenced by Sidney Rigdon and his "push" that the prophet role should go father to son. It was the only way he was going to have any power, by being the "wise councel" for an underage prophet. Whatever Emma's issues may have been, she's walked through more hell then any of us can dream of. She has my respect.

  • I love this movie! It's amazing!

  • I saw this movie at the kirtland, Ohio LDS visitor's center. IT is very well done and it captures the spirit greatly well! it was very good! love this movie!

  • I want to see it!

  • i cant wait to see it!!

  • UGH i hate that the FLDS church mixes everything up!!! THEY support polygamy. They are the main racists. THEY believe in the most ridiculous things. search it in google and read it.

  • To the Community of Christ, formerly Reorganized LDS Church, Emma disliked Brigham Young and the whole multiple wives doctrine. She stayed in Nauvoo, re-married, and raised her's and Joseph's children there.

  • I was invited to a screening of this movie several months ago, but I didn't get to the theater.

  • That's a movie worth waiting for! I was somehow under the impression that it was already out, but I guess I was wrong. I'll be looking forward to seeing it.
