I am afraid that all those Americans died for nothing. They did their duty and followed orders. Many gave up their lives. It is heartbreaking to realize that this huge loss was in the end, pointless.
For the Vietnamese who sacrificed 100s of thousands of lives fighting the Japanese, French, and then the Americans, They were ostensibly fighting for a communist government that would share the country's resources more equitably.
Now they have a capitalist government.

ok yeah i understand dude and you coldent fly over to nam and film they wont let any 1 caus in serten parts of nam ther still killing ppl.any way im making a nam movie with alot of stuff coming like 50 nva uniforms from we were soldiers

Trust me, I'm not trying to disrespect the people who fought in Vietnam, and I don't sympathize with the communists. But sometimes you just gotta go out and make your movie and not worry about the fact that you have submachine guns instead of AKs. It's not like I can fly my whole cast out to Vietnam, anyways, so there's no way everything's gonna be 100% accurate.
