This has to be one of my favorites from the Together in Worship project. Shirley kills this song.

  • Aren't they.... Do you have her latest album Soulfood?

It's cool. She does some vocal acrobatics on there. Check out the song "Shout Now".

  • she is at her best-where it started; Churchin! juici29

  • This song is fire!!!!! Love it!!

  • Excellent!! I was very very very very glad when they said to me let us go into my father's house. Because in that house there is peace and liberty!!

  • It's on Regina Belle's gospel project Love Forever Shines. It's a duet.

  • What many don't know is that Shirley started singing gospel first. I'll never forget that she sang in a community choir that was based in Columbus Ohio. She is and has always loved the Lord. I love you Shirley forever.

  • you're right! I agree. I feel Gospel singers can sing secular music as long as its not in total contridiction to what they sing about in their Gospel songs. There are many songs that are not "religious or gospel" songs but are still positive and uplifting. To me, anything good is of God!

  • I agree R&B is not what it used to be now. But I would like to here some AC ballads and some retro type stuff from her. A lot of gospel singers think they shouldn't sing secular music because it doesn't serve God, but God doesn't say people can't have fun in the Bible... right?

  • I don't know about that one. I think she sounds a lil better singing Gospel because of all the riffs and other vocal tricks she likes to do. Its a lil more suited for gospel. Especially THESE days when a lot r&b singers can't really sang, they jus have a certain "look". Shirley doesn't fit in that genre anymore.

  • anyone have Shirley Murdock song 'I call on Jesus? if so please let me know, thanks, have a blessed day

  • God is good
