My Deconversion Story

EDIT 5/24/2010: There seems to be a bit of a misunderstanding going on in the comments section about what atheism entails. Allow me to explain:

1. ATHEISTS ARE NOT ANGRY AT GOD. I even state that in this video, very explicitly and loud enough for even my craptacular mike to pick up. Why aren't we angry at God? Because we don't believe God exists. For an atheist to be angry at God would be every bit as ridiculous as a theist being angry at a jackalope, for whatever reason.

2. ATHEISM IS MERELY THE NON-BELIEF IN THE EXISTENCE OF GOD. It does not automatically entail an argument against Christianity or religion in any way, shape, or form. As a matter of fact, some religions are atheistic: Buddhism, Jainism, Taoism, even Universal Unitarianism are, or can be, godless. Simply put: Atheism =/= A need for an argument, good or bad, against religion.

3. IF YOU HAVE RELIGION, GREAT. STOP SHOVING IT DOWN MY THROAT. Self-explanatory. Already did the "born-again" thing; don't need to do it twice. But thanks for your concern.

4. IF YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN AND HAPPY ABOUT IT, I'M HAPPY FOR YOU. But again, I'm not interested in being converted, thanks anyway.

Lady, it is ok to be a humanist and yet believe in God. Remember what I said earlier. Only humans have invented all the religions on earth, no exceptions, dear.

@mazzroa Most influential means most influential, since when most influential equals "I have the truth"? Does that mean that if for some reason the person X becomes one of the most influential his/her claims regarding the supernatural become true all of the sudden? I don't think so. Should I repeat it? "we predicted it first, it's in this book" when you had centuries to tell it but all was a silence until science comes along is pretty revealing (and laughable). facts? you call that facts? lmao

@mazzroa I know about that, not convincing. Science comes along and finds out something, then you muslims claim "look here man, see this passage? this is what really means, it's all here in my book, booyaa! it predicted it and blahblahblah" well, if your book predicted modern scientiffic concepts (your book is pretty subjective to interpretation), you had centuries to tell us fools how it all really scientifically works, what happened then? not a peep until science finds it out... Not convincing

1- easy cause no one can do like it , this book very logical and show the way of life and guide and cientifcal issue read the book THE QUR’AN AND MODERN SCIENCE by Dr. Maurice Bucaille a franch man pluse prophet mohmmad is no. 1 of The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History by Michael H. Hart these writer are not from muslim coutries admenting he is great person so now you deny the Quran the Drs who write the logic the challage what can i say

@mazzroa 1- How do you know is the word of God? don't tell me, 'cause the book say so? And how do you know that what the books says is true and reliable? 2- God say blahblahblah etc etc ok, so what? how do you know that what the book says about what God says is true and accurate and is actually what God says and not something written down by superstitious primitive men who knew no better 'cause they had no ways to knew better? Did I mention that I already readed it or did you missed that part?
