I think there's no possibility to refill it without a scube tank! But you can by a very cheap used one...old and it hasn't to be valid for diving! for refilling the spare air its enough good!;) I bought a 8l tank for 50$
it was fine...cause in this way i could refill it on the beach about 10 times and a 8l tank is small enough and fits in a normally backpack!

How long can you stay submerged in a relatively shallow pool, such as the one you're in, with the 3.0 cu ft spare air?

It's difficult to say...i think with an. heavy belt you'll stay longer under water than me;).'cause i had to swim active for stay under water and so i used a lot of air only for stay down. over water you can breath 20-30 times. and under water in a 2m pool maybe a bit less. I think it's possible to stay down for aproximately 4-6 minutes maximum 10.
hope i could help u
