When I was younger and didn't know much about computers, I thought this would work too! ...so I took a telephone wire all the 35ft. to my neighbors back yard and it seemed to work "at First!" The lights on my wi-fi usb were on and everything! When I got back to my computer, it wouldn't recognize what was plugged into it!
For some reason it seems to "ME" that it takes too long for the signal to be sent back and forth from the computer to whatever is plugged in the USB port Past 15ft.

You know for usb extender cable this signal not ME but digital signal like signal at LAN cable. So think digital signal "o" and "1" not ME

there is no loss on a usb stick no matter how much cable...there are two types of wifi.....usb .....and pigtail setup.....usb signal is converted on the spot then goes to pc via the usb cable.........the pigtail setup is different as u only use a wifi ariel wich picks up the raw 2.4ghz and sends it down a coax like cable it then gets converted at the pc....the loss comes from the lenght of cable here ...but not on usb lol

Yes u right, in this way the signal is digital like on LAN cable...but the radio signal just on the USB wifi. So you no much loss (radio signal). If you use wifi receiver using RG58 cable the loss signal must have...
