My slant brake wobbles. I thought about taking it off and drilling a hole in the bottom of the brake. Then I was going to tap the hole for a set screw to keep it in place. If the threads are miss matched thou I would rather just get another slant brake that fits tight to begin with .

  • Thanks guys....This is my fist ak with a brake on it (it came on the gun). I do not mind the recoil or muzzle rise without a brake. After I fire this one with a slant brake I may buy a few more.

  • its normal man. and putt some balls into it. and push that shit. it'll work helps if u have nails.

  • its fine no need to fix

  • My CIA AK did that but i still shot it with no problem. Accurate too so i wouldn't worry. But i did buy a tapco muzzle break and it fits more snug.

  • havnt tried the o-ring .....yet.sounds good though.I've been using PTFE otherwise known as teflon tape works good, but is hard to remove for cleaning.

  • just get yourself some wiring and wrap it behind the brake if it bugs you that much. the ak47 is a loose weapon, everything wobbles, its not an ar its a weapon to kill humans and was built accordingly

  • Sand the bottom of the muzzle brake on a flat surface with a piece of med. grit sandpaper, try it,sand until you have a tight fit, take it off re-blue the bottom of the brake, and when you re-install it,use a bit of anti-seize on the threads!

  • also i saw a key ring trick video on here look up AK 47 QUICK FIX LOOSE MUZZLE BRAKE he fixed the extra space reducking all wobble and space with a key ring check it out

  • OK HERES WHAT YOU DO BUD FIRST DO NOT SHOOT IT JUST YET cause ur right it could fly off or hit the break and blow the tip of ur gun off if a bullet catches it worst case .. #1 Try taking a Screw Driver and press the button in see if u can get more of a push mabe a little flat head or even try a small puch screw driver with the point tip after u do get it off mabe its just not screwed on all the way try screwing it back on making seeing if it tightens up or make it SOLID use some Thred Tape

  • hey buddy, this is normal with ak47s,i purposly made mine this way, makes it easy on easy off most times but she wont fly off, just want to warn u and everyone dont mess with your threads if u mess up the 14x1 u will need to rethread using 1/2x28RH (AR15) style n size.. if this really bothers you that bad you can use and o ring, loctite or do what i did on one of my breaks and got it really really hot with a torch on my vise and use electronic solder to fill in grooves a bit

  • You guys that jump all over people who might be new to firearms or new to a particular type of firearm should go back to playing video games or playing army in your back yard. Leave it to adults to offer advice and comments in a polite and helpful manner.
