  • Hooray! - its a real pleasure to see XH558 back where it belongs (in the air) and pleasing spectators. Its been a long time and those at TVOC and all who contributed can pat themselves on the back.

  • Great comment, I couldn't put it better myself! :)

PS Shame she didn't display on Sunday at Waddo, but crew and crowd safety are paramount, and I hope we all appreciate that the refit of the aircraft is prone to new teething problems. You could really see the team trying their very best, and hats off to them for at least managing a dramatic nose up ground run. I wish the team all the very best for the future!!

  • From all of us who used to work for TVOC until last year and could not get to the Airshow a very BIG THANK YOU for putting this on You Tube.

Perhaps the forgotten few will be remembered at sometime.

  • Thank you, everyone who has contributed to this wonderful outcome should definitely be appreciated.

  • Awesome video, still have goosebumbs from having watched it fly myself!

  • Quite a few years ago now, I was at the Southend-on-sea airshow. They had a Vulcan there. The abiding memory for me of the whole thing was when she was banked out over the estuary and her engines were cranked right up. Though far out over the water you could hear her engines...IN YOUR CHEST. Anyone in the crowd that was just getting over bronchitis had their phlegm loosened for them that day I can tell you.

  • if this aircraft killed me tomorrow i would die a happy man ( as long as i heard the howl first!) lol

  • I lived on Waddo for a while, but only after vulcan had stopped flying, but still know how great it is she has been HOME

  • Jeez..JFB33....motor cars must be a real problem for ya!!!

  • I wouldnt be seen near this aircraft, never mind fly in it. During its operational period, it was involved in 12 crashes, amounting in 42 deaths.

  • Fantastic. Simply brought a tear to my eye.

  • i believe that the vulcan is flying at Farnburough this sunday. CANT WAIT :D

  • I am proud to say that I was there when the Vulcan came home and Waddington is where it should stay in my opinion. I can actually say that this whole adventure brought tears to my eyes.

  • Thanks so much for the lesson in punctuation and correct use of the apostrophe.
