@Tigrisofgaul we also have this obsession with complaining about remakes of things when a lot of the time its just someone who really appreciated the original and would like a new generation to have access to it in their way. besides the movie you are so fond of, is just a remake of the manga and it was dramatically different. people probably complained about that too. I for one love the manga, love the movie, and can't wait to see the 2 part adaptation of the manga set for the next few years.

You know what bothers, me? When stupid ass foreigners ASSUME that americans just loOoOove what hollywood produces. Fact of the matter is, most people fucking hate hollywood. We watch commercials on tv and go "wtf, why can't we make GOOD movies for a change?" So if you aren't from america, and think americans all want to see a remake of a classic like akira, you need a reality check. Pull your head out of your ass. Have a lovely day.
