ubuntu 11.10 features of compiz...

some features of compiz that can be enabled in 11.10
i didnt tried most of the features and out of what I tried not all of them are in this video
but you will like it...
It will give you a idea to which direction Ubuntu is going...
no doubt its the ultimate Operating System of Future...!!!

@PTontonozi u will get all the themes and icons in "gnome-looks org" with instructions to install them,remember from 11.10 u have to get the gtk+3 themes

and also add the "webupd8 org" themes repository,,they got some cool gnome 3 theme

but does it support my ati readon HD 4250? because i have been having many problems with the driver in other ubuntu's

@Aplifiedproductions you must have proper driver installed to get these compiz effects..as far as i know ati has good driver support from ubuntu ,,try the latest versions of ubuntu like 11.04 or 11.10 to get better driver support,,,after installation if ur driver is not already installed in the system use "additional driver" to search and install the proper supported driver..

if ur driver is already installed the checkit with sysinfo , or system sttings>system info>graphics

2 .. you may need to restart or logout login to see the change

3 .. set the key bindings carefully...do not set same keyboard -mouse option for different actions

8 .. enable ring switcher...one of the greatest animation of compiz ..set the keybinding to your choice ...set it for next window(all workspace) to mouse button 5 for ur conveniece ...set the previous window(all workspace) to mouse button 4..this two are must and also set the keyboard options for them,,,personally i prefer mouse key bindings...

but be care full on following things

1.. your system may hang while enable /disable different setting,,,be patient and wait for a while to adopt it

6 .. go to Ubuntu Unity Plugins option > experimental > decrease the planel opacity to 0

7 .. go Desktop Wall option> Edge Flipping> enable Edge Flipping move,,||| ,then go to binding option and set the keyboard and mouse option to move from one wall to another with or without window..i set it to right click(mouse buton 3)

in ccsm try following things that i did>>

1 .. first install compiz extra plugins from software center

2 .. now open CCSM and go to Animation option > in each tab of close/open/minimize animation select all settings to random and increase the duration to the double of the given

3 .. now enable Animations Addon on CCSM

4 .. now enable Wobbly Windows

5 .. go to general options> Desktop Size and increase the size to 4X4 if ur graphics card can handle
