Originally aired on Monday evening, July 30, 1990. WDIV is the NBC affiliate in Detroit, Michigan and at the time, carried the Detroit Tigers television broadcasts.

On this clip is a short banter between Hall of Fame broadcasters George Kell and Al Kaline, concluding with the end of the fifth inning and the graphics.

The commercial breaks include Tiger manager Sparky Anderson for Metro Detroit Ford dealers and Tigers closer Mike Henneman in a "save it" spot for Kroger grocery stores.

  • I remember those Kroger ads. I used to wonder if Mike Henneman fell down walking away at 1:40. He just disappeared!
