  • I have done this. Does this make it too cold for the leopard gecko? I have two baby leopard geckos and mine tend to sleep while in the ventilated box. I also heard that the babies can lose their toes if I don't help them. Any advice?

  • @tiffazmy Keep the deli in the enclosure and it will stay warm enough. My advice is as it is in the video. Does the gecko still have shed?

  • At :12? This is a leopard gecko. Morph is SHTCT.

  • perhaps it is and you are not seeing it. they do shed and eat the shed. It is unusual for us to see any of our geckos shedding.

  • Well, they usually start shedding a day or two after hatching but this is a shed that they don't need any help with.

  • Did you try this method of helping the gecko shed?

  • ive had my leopard gecko for three months and hasnt shed yet its a blizzard and its hard to tell if hes ready is that normal

  • when do lepard geckos begin to shed

  • One of my leopard geckos has some trouble shedding. She doesn't eat her shed skin, and the skin doesn't come off in one piece. The shed skin is dry, and in chunks.

My gecko eats normally, and has a moist hide and everything - but I don't know what to do about the dry shed skin. Please help!

  • 2:26 freaky

  • @dl657008 removing the shed should the the very last resort. The gecko doesn't need to move around for the deli cup method to work. With time (a few hours), the shed should come off.

  • my pictus gecko has some shedding issues around her eyes and nose and some on her toes too... if i put her in a dish, she just stays soooo still and wont move around at all, she is still a baby though... should i try removing it myself like you said in this video??

  • @HOLLISKID23 ah, understand now. Absolutely. If I have a gecko with any stuck shed, right away it goes for the "deli cup" treatment.
