Nearer, My GOD To Thee - Beautiful Old Hymn †

Nearer, My GOD To Thee. Hymn Tune: Bethany. It was sung when the Titanic was sinking by the men and boys who were left on board. Usually sung at Funerals and as an Eventide Hymn in many churches. I use a rich tone and many Pedal Stops to bring out it's Reverence.

I had the Honor to play this beautiful Hymn at my Mother's Funeral in 1995, it was one of her favorites †

" It is good for me to draw near to GOD..." Psalm 73:28

** I apologize for the volume being a little loud, wasn't like that when I recorded it but somehow, YouTube amplified it, it has happened a few other times.

@organpipe8 Unfortunately you're exactly right, people can be cruel in the most childish ways. And I just wanted to say, though I don't necessarily follow your faith, your videos are excellent. I find hymns to be beautiful pieces, and some of the best pianists are those who play for church.
