40 teams from the upper Midwest gathered in Duluth, Minnesota, on March 11 and 12 for the first FIRST Robotics competition in the city at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC). FIRST has participating schools in the U.S. and 12 other countries. Each year students in the FIRST teams must create a robot that accomplishes a task assigned in January. They have six months to assemble, program and perfect their robot before competition begins. Submitted by Lake Superior Magazine
