This is the edited video of my first solo flight. It was a beautiful April day, very appropriate for a first solo. The plane was a PiperSport from Beverly Flight Center at the Beverly Municipal Airport. After I did a couple of touch-an-gos with my flight instructor Paul Beaulieu, we landed, he jumped out and let me loose. I did two touch-and-gos and one full-stop landing, while my family and two friends were watching from a nearby parking lot. The video shows segments from three different cameras, one being from the ground (thank you Derek). It is a bit long, so good luck making it all the way to the end without falling asleep. :)

  • Good job!!! Greettings from Canada!

  • @chimozerokoma Thank you friend! Greetings to you!

  • man you must be terrified of that runway centerline

  • @superskullmaster Actually, the runways are quite wide at Beverly Airport, although they look very narrow on the video (probably due to the fish-eye lens of my GoPro Hero camera). Since my solo flight, I have gotton better in following the centerline. :)

  • didnt see rest of video your friend was funny and nice video im subscribing to you.

  • @patrickmollette15 Thank you! Yes, the video was way too long, I know. My instructor gets off at arounds 8:30 minutes into the video. I have a shorter version under my Videos, which is only about 5 minutes long.

  • @nathanhall94 hey, i take flying classes as well, it is a ton of work, you have to give 100% every time you show up for a class or inflight lesson. the price depends on aircraft (at least where i take my classes) i pay 120 an hour in a Diamond Star DA-40 out of KUGN. its not hard if you love what your doing because you will be very willing to learn the stuff. i highly recommend it, i love every minute of every class. lesson. best of luck!

  • Very nice. I just had my first solo in a SportCruiser also, uploaded my vid to my channel.

  • i am 17yrs old and i am interested in going for my cessna license/certificate. can you please let me know the cost of the classes and how difficult it is for you to actually get the certificate..

  • beautiful landing! nice job! :)

  • may i ask, what was your situation on that particular moment, i mean well, people ussually get their pilot licence as soon as possible to find a job. but for you was more of a challenge you have to give yourself? it would be difficult having a family and all those things? maybe im wrong, this questions pop on my mind when i try too picture my future :D

  • Good work! Nice video! Must have been super excited! :D

  • @fettah68 LOL, ah ok thanks for the lesson. Im not familiar with that airplane!!!
