Fort Natomas - Our Community, Our Story

Five months after an arsonist burnt down the volunteer-built Fort Natomas playground in Jefferson Park, the community came together again to rebuild the park "better than it was." Early in the morning on May 26, 2008, the playground was once again torched, less than two years after it was rebuilt.

i remember that park after school when the first one was there and the second one when i went to natomas middle. 1:47 im the kid on the right next to the kid in the yellow.

What asshole does something like that. I grew up at the first Fort Natomas. I'm not 20 years old and I'm looking back at history. Things change quick. However, we do have another one near the library two blocks away from where I am.

I remember when it first burned down. My childhood was in that park. I want to help rebuild it again. I watched the park burn down in 2006, standing there, unable to do anything along with the other residents of Natomas....

Bless you mcswain, you are a good soul for making this. I remember the night they opened it. I have actually gone there since I literally was a child. I actually think you have done good in creating this.
