@Aunjel22 This is related to what we use in our cars. The flammable liquid used here is likely something like ethanol. It, like gasoline, is composed of carbon and hydrogen - it'd a hydrocarbon. Oxygen reacts with it creating the by-products carbon dioxide and water. Under certain conditions, such as high temperature, high pressure, or poor air or oxygen supply, other by-products will result such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide.
