Hi good video, I am getting ready to do this as well. I have a 120yr old farm house and all my ducts run under my house in a cold zone. I plan on insulating every duct in the cold zone. We often get $400, $500 and sometimes even $600 gas bills in extreme cold winters. I am doing one project at a time to reduce these high bills...I was just wondering if you noticed any reduction on your heat bills after completing this project?
Your voice sounds so much like Joel Hodgson. ;)

Thanks for watching. When someone leaves a comment, I try to think of anything else I can add to help you with your project. Although I am not an expert, maybe I can help. I also have another recent video where I save money by changing the heater filter. I know anybody can change the filter, but it is a reminder to save money on the heating bill. And in that video I show the way to oil the inducer, which if you froget to do or don't do, will cost big bucks on furnace service; on my channel.

HI I am glad you liked the video. And to answer your question I am saving, but did not yet figure it out by comparing bills from years past. I do know that the bill that got me motivated was around $450. This years highest is around $350. I did a test with a digital meat thermometer, put the probe into the duct. The heat loss from the closest heat register(vent/grill) the loss was 1 degree fahrenheit. Before I fixed it, the vent furthest in the run was blowing cold air. Definitely saving money
