I sent it back for a refund. I'm getting a GTX+ instead.

  • well i got myself gigabyte model and overclocked it to

    - 805 gpu

    - 1800 shader

    - 2100 memory

    voltage 1.25V

and its temperatures get high like 85°C when playing gta4 on full hd :)

    It runs just great

  • 85 is on the verge of death. You're dumb.

  • My rig is

    Gigabyte ep45 mobo

    intel core 2 duo 3.0

    2gig ram

    500 gig harddrive

    9500 XFX 1gig(want to replace)

is this graphics card any good ? and how does it compare to a 250?

  • At this point if I were you, I'd save my money and wait for the next generation of nVidia cards. They always release budget ones with the expensive ones anyway so you shouldn't have to worry too much. As for your current card, It's not too special, and neither are 250s. If you want a 200 series card get the 285 or higher.

  • Wud that card work on my pc ..??

    2 processors running - Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz , Ram 1023 MB,

and a sucky ass NVIDIA GeForce 6600 ...I dont know ANYTHING about changin graphic card

  • Your CPU is fine don't listen to sp4wners. Just make sure your FSB (Front Side Bus) speed is around 1000MHz-1600MHz to prevent bottle-necking. You may need more RAM too, get 2GB running at 800MHz or more depending on whether your mother board can handle faster RAM speeds. Other than that I'm sure your PCI slot is fine even if it's not 2.0 it's still probably x16 which is fine.

  • @kydoes 85 is on the verge of death? these cards made to withstand 100°C +

unless its 85°C idle with stock fan speed, thats fine

  • i have the Gigabyte overclocked edition with 740mhz core clock 1700 mzh shader clock and 1600 mhz memory. 40-42 C in idle and 64 C max while playing, never got above that. Works fine for me so far.

    Respond to this video...

Max clocks with Gigabyte revision 2 9800GT:

    -765 gpu

    -1850 shader

    -1930 mem

    On 1.25 V load...70°C and idle...44-46°C

Well maybe i'll have to go from 1.15V stock to 1.30V, hehe

    See ya!

  • @kkjiikk

Thank you all for warning messages :P .D But its fine, really. This model was Gigabyte revision 1, i gave it to my bro and lowered clocks a little (not 85°C anymore..rather 70-75) and bought myself Gigabyte revision 2...lower temps (70°Cmax but i get artifacts if wanna reach those speeds with this one and also on 1.25V.

  • @Sssagaman

wow your gpu is gonna explode or somfing that temp isnt right get a better cooling system

  • @kydoes HAHA.. Absolutely..!! :D

  • @kydoes HAHA.. Absolutely!!

  • She is still operating at its maximum, and yes i know what 85 °C mean - edge. But i can for sure say it still is one of the best vga's for oc-ing

  • @Sssagaman

    Seriously dude,

85°C is like, about to burst into flames hot.

    Hahahah
