Frank Zappa, Deep Purple - Incendio en casino de Montreaux

en la presentación del grupo de Las Madres de la Invención de Zappa en el casino de Montreaux, en Suiza, de pronto se produjo un gran incendio y hubo que evacuar la sala... el lugar repentinamente empezó a arder ya que alguien del público tenía un cohete o una bengala y la lanzó hacia el techo, y en ese momento la cubierta de caña estalló en llamas, el edificio entero valorado en unos trece millones de dólares, ardió de arriba a abajo, Zappa y las Madres de la Invención perdieron todo su equipo, todo el equipo se quemó... la famosa canción Smoke On The Water de Deep Purple rememora el acontecimiento ya que los Purple estaban presentes en aquel show.... Y ellos cantan: "Frank Zappa y los Mothers estaban en el mejor sitio pero un estúpido con una bengala quemó el lugar hasta el suelo... Humo en el agua, fuego en el cielo."

obviously there was a fire so howard was standing on one side of the stage and he goes: "fire ladies and gentlemen!" ...the place was going very fast... told everyone to... remain calm andexit to the side and it was locked... but within a short period of time the com- whole place was burned... the only thing that was saved was a cowbell. thats all i got.
