A live recording from a Sunday afternoon house concert. The harpsichord is a copy of the Ioannes Ruckers "Colmar" instrument of 1624 built by Kevin Fryer, San Francisco. Lid painting is by Adrian Card.
@solieusflame Now I am really interested in this:) it just depends on what length of note it is, quarter or half..etc. for example, I heard someone play a song from Bach on a harpsichord at the university. It sounded okay, but choppy! On cd I have, the song was more flowing, the notes were held longer. I want one, but I just found I would have to buy a new car first! :( You are amazing and most likely an excellent proffessor!!!
@solieusflame okay, i am not good with terms, i meant the difference between stacatto and legato. or sostenuto, i know the harpsichord does not have a sustain pedal either but you can still sustain notes. i like the way you you play. by the way, what musical term is trollin? i hope it is a positive comment ;)))

@daasvand
... you be trollin...? A harpsichord cannot vary its pitch length, nor play accents.

I really like the accents and full length notes. This instrument was difficult to play as interpreted!

Fine playing of this sprightly dance. The pulse is strong, just right for the music. And a beautiful harpsichord. George Becker, San Francisco
