On the Friday evening before the Plandamf proper, the locomotives were arriving at the engine shed at Neustadt-an-der-Weinstrasse. They were coaled and watered, and lined up in front of the shed. The THW provided special lighting, and as night fell, there was plenty of opportunity for taking dramatic photographs.
