Using pistons to make a vertical elevator in minecraft. Not to tricky really also a quick look at a now faster version of the monorail.

Awesome! I had a thought you could have a series of levers an the bottom for each floor (or just a circuits that you could break) to input which floor you could go on!

You can actually simplify the elevator EVEN MORE using vertically stacked torches connected to wall redstone torches.
