@TheErickH33 thats bullshit, any sport that ends with ball is A SPORT. football is A SPORT. wrestling is a sport too. its under the list of high school sports moron!
-
@Warmonger1178 Ok, ya i guess i exaggerated a bit, since It really depends a lot on the fighter, but BJJ allows so many things that wrestling doesnt, so if its a pure wrestler, he shouldn't know how to escape positions like closed/half guard, or an omoplata, and he would be in a completely different world. Now teach that wrestler some BJJ and now hes one tough mofo

@devonmac95 You are totally mistaken. If that's what you truly believe, you have never grappled a high-caliber pure wrestler... I will agree that in a GRAPPLING match, the PURE wrestler will be in more danger of being submitted by a submission fighter (BJJ, Judo, etc), but I know several wrestlers that would absolutely dominate many white belts. I think you are grossly underestimating the effectiveness of wrestling.

@Christopheerful oh ok thanks

@devonmac95 This move is called a Twister in MMA and has no relevance to the "Guillotine" you're refering to.

at what point in this video does the kid do a guillotine? unless their is a wrestling move seperate from the jiu jitsu move?
-
@Warmonger1178 the best pure wrestler in the world would get submitted in two seconds by a white belt in BJJ. Its a whole different world with a BJJ fighter

@starladear002 he is neither choking him nor twisting his neck as both are illegal and he could not pin the kid with those. He is however showing you a prime example of the only time it is legal to encircle the head without also having an arm in wrestling

although guys, u have to say, when fighting someone on the street, if you try to lock up with them, they'll stab you or something
-
dang this dude was checking the oil real hard at 12 seconds!!! lol
To deny the effectiveness of wrestling is total shit. Wrestling is an extremely effective way to fight - whether it's the street or MMA. That being said, I still cannot say that wrestling is superior to BJJ or Judo, both of which are very effective martial arts themselves. While I can agree that a wrestler could give BJJ guys problems, I think the opposite is also true. Not to mention that PURE wrestlers have a bad habit of rolling to their belly, exposing their back. BAD.
