@tapthatt2012 I got to meet her. She was in her eighties at the time, I think. (1987 or 1988. I have to check the guide's date to confirm.) She was still a pistol.

How old was Fran Lee when she died?

Found out based on checking New York Times TV listings, that by this point Henderson's program had become "The Skitch Henderson Show" (thus it had two titles over its short run), and this segment originally aired April 3, 1969.

At 2:19: "There is a safe in-sex-ticide." Does it kill V.D., Fran? ;-)

...interestingly enough...the push to educate the public about hormones / antibiotics in cattle is just as strong now as it was then... yet very little has changed.

She was the "pooper scooper" lady.
If she was the same Fran Lee listed in IMDB
, she just missed her 100th birthday, too.
Thanks, Tap!

She was a consumer advocate who was nicknamed "The Dog S--- Lady," for her raising concerns about the health hazards of canine fecal waste on the street. In the late 1960's, from what I read, she also hosted WNEW-TV's "Dialing for Dollars," which had quite a few competition (WABC-TV's "Prize Movie" and WOR-TV's "The Stella Longo Jackpot Movie").

Who is Fran Lee?
Aaaaaaaaw, Fran Lee. I had the pleasure of sorting her papers and videos for the New York Public Library many moons ago. If you go to the manuscript division, you can see many of her appearances on Skitch Henderson and her pieces on the channel five news. This looks familiar.
