Duncan Hills Coffee - Dethklok [DV AE final]

Final project for Eric Reinfeld's Intro to Digital Video class at SVA.

It was Krzys' idea to do the video, and originally I was just helping out and letting them shoot on my roof. But I liked the idea so I got more involved and worked out the spotlight lighting, and when I saw how the school-lent Canon video was looking, I said eff that noise, I have a better camera downstairs. So I shot it with my Panasonic DVX100B and I think it looks pretty sexy for a no-plan shoot.

When I'm in the shots (in the V for Vendetta mask and Les Paul) Michelle rocked the tripod, and even went hand-held for a few shots like a champ. Matt is singing and Krzys is on the left. Mona was awesome and drank that foul-tasting blood, and Lucy lapped it up because she's a dog.

There was so much more I wanted to play with in this video, but with only 2 weeks to shoot, edit, and do effects, I had to pear it down. I think I'll go back into it this summer and work some more.

I composited the steam in the coffee shots and replaced Matt's eye with a pupil-less one using photos of my own eye with the pupil touched out.

I said learn to spell. Punctuation is also good for sentence comprehension and pacing.

Perhaps:"You're a disgrace to the world. You should go kill yourself."

Being foreign is no excuse. Insult in your own language if necessary.
