Architect: Belk Architecture - Golden Belt Mill is an adaptive re-use renovation of a century old historic textile and printing mill, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The project size is 155,000 square feet, and approximate project value is 26 million dollars. Located in East Durham, the complex of 6 distinct mill buildings has been carefully restored to National Park Service standards, creating a vibrant, mixed-use, arts-focused campus that includes live/work residential loft apartments, artist studios, office and retail space, restaurants, and a music venue. The project is LEED registered, and is completing Gold level certification.
