Rick is a chef. A damn good one. Who cares about how he seems or talks. The recipes he creates speak for themselves. These recipes have given me numerous compliments for many years. They're simple too.

I always find it interesting when people make negative comments about his voice.... first off, he's from oklahoma, so you are hearing a hint of a drawl, secondly, he has a bowed vocal fold which does not permit the vocal cords from coming together correctly which gives it the quality you hear

It is disheartening to see all the negative comments about this man. It just displays your ignorance as far as I am concerned. This man has his own show on PBS - Mexico One Plate at a Time. I love Rick Bayless and would love to eat at one of his establishments if I am ever in those cities. He has won awards and almost made it to be the White House Chef, quite an accomplishment!!!!
