so overall, you think linux mint is worth it over Ubuntu or should I stay with Ubuntu, it feels a little faster but it still feels like Ubuntu to me since its based on it.

the only complaint i have with linux mint is the mintmenu is buggy, it tends to lock up easily. but with linux mint it uses the ubuntu repo and linux mint has it;s own repo.

im beyond stoked for mandriva 2010 becuase it's gunna use plymonth.

Yeah, hopefully they have a bug fix update for the menu, I always have that urge to switch back and forth between linux mint and Ubuntu cause I think one is better than the other lol.

My sister uses LinuxMint7... I don't like it.

At first I liked how it looked and the friendliness of it, but it does toooooo many things by itself.

I'm used to doing things manually and Linuxmint auto-configures everything so it got annoying changing everything from the defaults.
