2011 is a big flight year of snowy owls in Vancouver. Most of them can be seen at Boundary Bay.They haven't been back for the winter since 2007. This beautiful bird whose home is at the arctic tundra and feed mostly on lemmings. Every few years the lemmings number drop and the snowy owls will search for food down south of the arctic.

  • Norm,

I am planning to go Boundary Bay on this Tuesday. Was the full moon shot (owl with Mt Baker) taken on Dec 9th or Dec 10th of 2011? I would like to predict the moon angle on this Tuesday (97% maturity). Yoshiki
