I remember that too; apparently the disc motor had a tendency of getting stuck as the drive got older.

"Warning: you cannot shake hands with a clammed fist"?
Would be fun to restart a BSoD'ed Windows machine that way.

I remember the old ST506 Hard drives which sometimes you had to shaken them a little bit to get them running..

i hate the way windows needs to restart every single time you like change a setting.... anyway is this a real feature?

its a little like the feature on windows, except you dont need to shake it, it does it for you without you asking.
