This SMBC Theater is the closest they've come to doing a live-action SMBC comic.

To bad PPP 4 was never actually released in Europe, instead we got a crappy censored edition called Epicurean Quest.

Is the cover of PPoP a reference to Waiting for Godot, or am I just over-analysing?

That moment when most leading contemporary neuroscientists would agree that a *partial* brain upload will be a workable technology within the next 10 years.

Oh, snap! Maybe those "thousands of graphs" actually meant something!

I agree with everything you said... Should I say "said" or should I type "typed"?

"I agree with everything you said"?

"I agree with everything you typed"?

    It's been bugging me, lol.

Regarding 1, telomeres aren't the only issue, and it has become increasingly clear over the last decade that simply having long telomeres isn't enough. The SENS Foundation, devoted to reaching what amounts to clinical immortality, has seven or eight things that they think need to be solved to get lifespan much beyond 100. Telomeres are only one of them.

Telling whether maximum lifespan has increased is hard. Look at confirmed oldest people by year of birth- that has been going up. See "Oldest people by year of birth" on Wikipedia. But much of that is due to a larger total population, so more people have a chance to hit the upper limits. Also, more people have good docs so we can confirm their claimed age. So the data is weak. One issue is when new med techs will arise. Babies born now might live for centuries. You and me? Probably not.
