So...I dont get this. Its just speedruns, but you hack? What types of hacks do you use? Like, actually giving your character items, or like framerate hacks?

Basically, you use an emulator to play the game at a lower speed and you use save states to retry as many times as you want.

The point of them is for people to see how to beat the game without hacking. though its is nearly imposible for humans.

@CMaster05 I know this is mad late, but whatever...it's not hacking, it's legit, the only thing is a human can't react to split second inputs and will often make mistakes, TAS is a method to slows down frame rate and use save states to eliminate human error...this is essentially how fast the game COULD be played under perfect circumstances..it still takes an enormous amount of time and effort on the player's part to accomplish this, and one must plan out a course of action beforehand as well
