Please take a moment to join me in a beautiful Bible reading from the book of James.

Today's passage reflects on :
- Patience and endurance
- The power of prayer
- Restoring wandering believers

Read from the New Living Translation version, you can read with me at:
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=james%205;&version=51

Or simply close your eyes, open your ears and let the Word of God comfort
your heart and soothe your spirit and soul.

Blessings my friends!

  • I wrote a poetic prayer based on the verses John 7:37-38, my most favorite verse in the Bible.

It reminds me of Jesus is our water of life.

    You like poety, right?

Would you mind if i emailed it to you?

  • Thank you very much for asking if you can email it since I am very public that I can't be on email exchange or tag with people anymore. I would love and be honored to read it if you are okay with the fact that I can't email tag in response. I will, however, let you know what I think - for sure. Thank you so much, please send to my inbox here! I will await this lovely piece of poetry from you, a gift!

  • and even better, you should totally read it on cam. I love doing poetry readings, they are so healing... and think how many you can share your art and gift from and about God through a public poetry reading... consider it dear.

  • Beautiful reading. I love reading the bible and soaking it all up, it's amazing how much you can feel God's love through the scriptures. I cannot wait until we all see Jesus again!!!

  • Thank you honey. I would love to commit to just 1 but my heart/home one is far - I want to be able to have multiple options, especially on those days where I am like I NEED church! and it's not just Sunday.

  • Exactly, sunday isn't the only day to go worship God in church. I actually like going Saturdays. You can worship God anywhere, though..not just church.

  • Hugs, totally. I need evening services can't do early morning. Tuesday nights are my home services. I worship at home, every day - never a day without worship at home - but the big church enviornment and fellowship really motivates me and encourages my faith so it's a great balance!

  • Every Christian should have patience. When the bible talks about patience,it usually refers to being patient with people. But here it talks about being patient until we are taken up to heaven.

James asks us to consider how the farmer waits on the land to produce a valuable crop.He sows his crop in the fall & waits for the autumn rain to make the seed sprout. He works long & hard to tend his crop & waits for the spring rain to provide moisture for the grain to fill out.James says this is the kind of patience & endurance that he needed until God's people are taken into heaven & he advises Christians to settle differences because Jesus will return.

It takes a long time for a seed to sprout & produce a crop, but it happens.Likewise,Jesus will return on a day when you least expect him (whether its tomorrow, 500 years or 50,000 years from now).

The concept of the imminent return of Christ should impact our lives.t should motivate those who are living in sin to abandon their sin.It motivate Christians to settle disputes, pray,& to do good works.

  • The farmer cannot plant a crop one day & harvest it the next day.He must be patient allowing nature to do its work. Then he receives a valuable reward. In like manner,Christians cannot expect to be saved today and taken to heaven tomorrow. We must be patient have hope & let Jesus prepare the way. Then he will return & we will receive the treasures we have hoped for.

Jesus over & over again to watch for his any-moment return.A few people have been watching all their lives & are ready to give it up.

  • Thanks, I enjoyed this
