  • Hi, could you please confirm if your GBS-8220 geometry settings work for YUV input? Mine doesn't.

  • @VoceTubeia You're right. The geometry menu isn't even accessible with YUV input.

  • thx man, but my problem was the power supply, it only has 500mA so i use a pc power and all just fine, but its a little bit dark or and little to green.

  • @iracG5

If the color is off, give those pots a turn with a screwdriver and see if you can't get it looking better. Mine are very sensitive and only take tiny nudges to adjust, which can be a painful process. If the onboard settings for brightness are not making it look any better, you may need an amp.

  • can you please tell me the settings you use? I got the same, but die Video on the buttom is cutout, so i cant see the workbench window bar ...

  • @iracG5

I'm using PAL output on the Amiga, so that may effect some of it, but I can give you the geometry settings on the GBS-8220 if that's what you are asking for:

    H position 44

    V position 02

    H Size 66

    V Size 59

This may have changed since I had to replace the board due to a short-circuit accident. Really, all you should have to do is reduce the V size until you get the full screen visible, then attempt to center is with the V position and then stretch it back out.

  • @zomgugoff Thank you very much for your quick reply. It's not that bad, but I wish I could do it.

  • @e5frog It works well, except for interlaced video modes, which you can see an example of shortly in the video. Watch the mouse pointer as it goes over the title bar toward the end of the video. And no, no extra circuitry is needed, but I did get a DB-9 connector to attach to the wire harness the GBS-8220 came with. I just used my 23-9 pin cable for use with a monitor and plugged it into the DB-9 connector.

  • Does it work well, I found a Greek page and then the same on EAB and he had chosen to use the YPbPr input buth with slight loss on the green color - it seemed to work very well though apart from the green color.

Using the CSYNC runs fine then and needs no extra circuitry?

  • @e5frog

Yes. The GBS-8220 can accept RGBS (composite sync) video, such as the output from an Amiga, and convert it to RGB without any extra hardware. It can also convert RGB coming from older consoles, but need an amp since the output is too dark.
