@USA1749NY2SFnSD2Fork I was ther too. I am class of 84 and grew up (born and raised in SF). Saw them at Stanford University and Keystone in palo Alto with Fishbone etc. Ska was huge then alomng with RHCP and tons of other bands atthat time.

I am with you, bro. This was the sound in Califonia clubs of the '80's and into the '90's whether you were up San Francisco or San Diego, whether it was a band or the DJ. This represents a combination of so many types of music that was and still is so California, USA. JMHO, hugely influential.

But they were part of that 2-tone ska movement of the early 80's that spawned No Doubt, Sublime and 311 in the 90's a very influential band that doesn't get any love

No they weren't they were very influential especially on this side of the Atlantic especially on generations of Black Rockers and Ska fans
