    The origin of this song is either When Johnny Comes Marching Home or Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye, both which date to at least the mid-1800s, but it has never been confirmed one way or the other as the written evidence is lacking, and songs in those days found there way across the sea both ways between the US and Ireland (at least the tunes anyway), but neither had anything to do with ants... the only thing more annoying than this is that "Noah's Ark" version...

    Its just a corruption of When Johnny Comes Marching Home, you should listen to that, or try "American salute" which is a nice military created remix...
