@04smallmj Yeah, my Wife is American and having witnessed first hand the noise that is the mechanical Q siren, I can say the public complaints here in Britain would be drowned out by it. xD

@Someloke8895 Yeah, mechanical Qs are illegal in NYC, probably because of how loud they are. They must be almost deafening in stationary traffic and for pedestrians, especially when they are used at their highest pitch for a long time... Martin horns are pretty good though and those are mechanical.

@jdrepiv - In those days the turn-out was always PL, P, TL, other (Pump Ladder, Pump, Turntable Ladder, Special) with the Stn Officer riding the Pump.
The turn-out bulbs on the ceiling reflect that sequence also - Red, Green, Yellow, Blue.
