This is short tutorial on how to use the focus ring on the Sony DSC-HX100V to perform manual focus while recording video.

Does this camera have any settings for manual iso, white balance etc during video too, or just focus and zoom?

@henke9100 - White balance and ISO are adjustable for still images. In video mode, there are scene selection parameters that can be modified. One of those is High ISO--for taking bright shots in low light. You also have the ability to set white balance in video mode to: Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Fluorescent White Balance (3 modes), Incandescent, One push/set [capture white image as basis] -- as well as white balance shift. Lots of options on this camera, if you dig in to menus. :)

whats the diferrence between DEFOCUS and AF MODE?

@yashmhedecho21 - Defocus mode take multiple pictures and creates an image from them where the subject is in focus, but the background is blurred auto. Autofocus mode automatically adjusts the focus of the image. Manual focus mode allows you to set the focus, so the camera doesn't switch back and forth from one object to another. There are many options on the camera to provide you with creative and customization. It's also easy to let the camera do all the work, with no tweaking! Cheers.

@Rafaiel85 - The 'defocus' is for still shots, but you can use the manual focus ring in video mode. Check out my 'Pulling Focus Samples' for a demonstration of how that looks.

What is the use of TRACKING FOCUS? is it for movie mode or for still images??? and also you have mentioned that this camera has 9 AF points.....what are those,are they useful when taking videos? thank you so much!
