you can see the wire mesh fence was mainly to blame ...as the bikes hit it one of them is seen to spring off and hits per in the back real hard

Per was an awesome rider, such a shame his career was cut so short, i remember him winning the world final at Bradford(even though i was gunning for Shooey Moran). He would have probably won another world final if not for this awfull accident. Never seen the crash before but he clearly hits the fence with a heck of an impact. I like many speedway fans will remember Per as a true world champ!!!
