I love this movie, I've watched it so many times. However, I am caught between this and the 1995 version. Because in this movie Mr. Darcy seems so cold and you can barely tell he likes her at first. In the 1995 version Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy has more passion for Elizabeth, well he seems like he does. And this one cuts out a lot of stuff from the book, but it's very well done. So idk. I'm confused!
Haha. Yes, it's rather misleading. They make it appear that Darcy might be with another lady, when really it's just his sister. But I guess Elizabeth does misconstrue that in the film as well for a moment, since she is surprised to discover that that is Georgiana afterward.
I loved it, and I've read the book many times. You simply cannot fit the entire book into one film, so I thought this version did very well. It's helped by the all-round excellence of the cast.
