Turbo D16 Final Pull

built bottom and top, tuned to 15 psi making 285whp 225wtq. Aftermarket cheap ebay distributor stopped it there, upgrading ignition and new numbers coming soon. Tuned by LJ @ Blown Motor Sports, Bloomington MN

hey man I was wondering if you could tell me why this build was so bad?? I am currently building a sohc turbo setup and want to know what it was that made your experience so negative. Thanks!

it had a 2.5" intake charge pipe instead of 3" which choked my turbo hardcore, i was running a hard 90* bend right at the beginning of the downpipe which turned it into like a 2" instead of 2.5" also choking the turbo, after about 14psi the spark kept getting blown out by the boost because the distributor was a cheap off brand ebay one... and! it was just a poorly put together motor (firsts are learning experience)

this build was awful im lucky it made 285, i had a 100+ degree bend 4" off the turbo with a 2.5" exhaust, choked the hell out of the turbo, the distributor was garbage, and well, it was all pretty much garbage. Car is getting switched over to e85, shooting for 400+whp by this time next year..

there is no exhaust, its a cut-out.

and i agree, if i could do it over again there would be an evo or a sti sitting on a dyno.

wow the exhaust on that thing sound like shit. and it always will. To bad it isnt a flat four with UEL headers and that boxer rumble like a subaru
