Test of economy time fuse (Tan Colored) Don't remember where I bought it. It burns at a calculated 3.75 seconds per inch. for purposes of Shell timing i will be using 1/4" per second. Since I have used this fuse for shells up to 6" I have found that it burns much slower than other non economy time fuse. The problem is that in order to get correct Apogee timing I must use such short fuses I have trouble gluing to the shell hemis. I am going to switch to a time fuse that burns at a rated 2.75 sec/Inch. This will make it much easier to glue the fuse into the hemis, and to get the ignition spark to the center of the shell. If I make shells bigger than 6" I will be using spoolette timing. But for shells 3,4,5, and 6 inches, Timing Fuse is Preferred.
You just gave me an ide of making roman candles!
