I believe it is Turkey. The Ottoman Empire was ruled from there. I agree with Walid that the wounded beast that Revelations speaks of is the Ottoman Empire being revived.

@WorldAttendant -it's clear the last kingdom rome willbe ruling at christ's return, pagan rome became papal rome with its 10 kingdom counterpart, the antichrist office of the pope probably has 1 more occupant more gastly than any of the former.

@forusoragainst - so he's most probably syrian or iraqi, my knowledge on ancient to modern geography is limited but i think the assyrian empire covered these 2 modern nations?

what about turkey? in revelations written to the churches of asia minor (turkey) the lord say to one church "your dwelling where satans thone is"
