You people are taking this way too seriously. This is just for fun. Enjoy it for what it's worth.

The actual film didn't use much if any music at all during this scene and ultimately I think that was for the best. Too strong a score can detract from certain scenes and this one seemed to work well solely relying on the visuals and sound effects. Still it's a nice edit.

@adalbinha I reckon Zimmer's masterpieces would probably be Sherlock Holmes/Pirates of the Caribbean. but I agree with you on everything else. Nice editing, well done.

@adalbinha For James Newton Howard try Signs, The Fugitive, The Sixth Sense for just a start. He is a very powerful composer. Much more than Zimmer in my opinion. And he does not require a team of ghost writers for his scores, nor is he as repetitive, nor bland, and much more melodic. The power of Gladiator came from Holst. Zimmer had a much stronger role in the new Batman scores as well.

haha they go shit together! its like watching all of elfmans work. correction, all of elfmans work is the same. he can't compose an original score, unlike james newton howard

@ccmadss Yeah, but this theme IS Batman. In all his incarnations. It's why it was also used in The Animated Series, and is so well-associated with Batman.

@EclipseStudio I disagree. Videos like these prove to me these scenes could've been much more exciting just by having a traditional epic soundtrack. Not every scene, but at least the ones with action.

@oxDannyBxo Me too, but if you think about it wasn't as dark as the new one, but it was catchy.

That was pretty cool. I honestly like the danny elfman score a lot more than the new one.

Well said mate
I agree the Zimmer/Howard soundtrack suits better with the Nolan's approach from Batman movies. Diferent context requires different approaches, but in the action sequences, the Elfman's version is so much powerful, vibrating and the melody lines are so beatiful. Zimmer/Howard soundtrack loses in the action sequences...
Zimmer masterpiece: Gladiator
Howard masterpiece: not yet composed
Elfman masterpiece: Batman and Edward Scissorhands
